The Plan: Dexcent IDS' Industrial DataOps Philosophy Document

The Industrial DataOps Process is a continious improvement processs which repeatedly applies the Industrial DataOps Methodology Cycle to move the system to a more mature Industrial DataOps Maturity Level and collect the associated benefits as a result. Each Industrial DataOps Methodology Cycle can be applied as its own initiative or piggy-back on the changes being made due to some other system initiative.

As with most processes, the Industrial DataOps Process starts out with a plan, such as the Dexcent IDS Industrial DataOps Philosophy Document. This document serves two purposes:

  1. The general document provides the common philosophy to applying the Industrial DataOps Process. This includes a comprehensive set of steps applicable to most, if not all, applications of the Industrial DataOps Methodology Cycle. The document addresses steps before any changes are made, steps during the changes implementation, and steps after the changes have been implemented.
  2. The general document also serves as a template document for the client to use as a source of information or information references, related to each Industrial DataOps Methodology Cycle. This document becomes the single source of truth from which all information, regarding any data point and its flow, can be determined. As the client goes though the Industrial DataOps Process, this document will be update with client specific information regarding the speciifc Industrial DataOps Methodology cycle.
